Thuong is a contemporary paper artist based in Bellevue, Washington, who specializes in hand-cut paper art, particularly white paper sculptures and paper cutting. Her dimensional sculptures stand at the intersection of heritage and modern design, drawing deep inspiration from her Vietnamese cultural roots and the vibrant, live-in-the-moment spirit of children. By working almost exclusively with single-colored paper - mainly black and white, Thuong removes the distraction of color to focus on the minimal narratives, the interplay of light and shadow.

Born and raised in Vietnam, having lived and worked in Singapore, Tel Aviv, San Francisco, and Portland, she brings a deeply multicultural perspective to her practice. Her global journey is paired with a diverse professional background spanning working in a big corporate environment, tech startup, and her own successful entrepreneurial ventures in the arts and events. These varied chapters ground her work, making her intricate paper art highly relatable, and representational. Before paper, Thuong had seven years working with clay. Her ceramic sculptures were commissioned and collected by collectors all around the world. While largely self-taught in her primary medium, she continuously refines her visual voice through focused classes at San Francisco Academy of Arts, and is currently pursuing a Painting Studies Certificate at the Rhode Island School of Design.
